COVID‑19 brought massive disruption to the workforce with the Black and the Brown feeling the burden as most were classified as non-essential. What’s not discussed in the media is the fact that the pandemic led to an alarming increase in gender-based violence in formal workplace. In 2020, almost 1.6 billion non-essential workers lost 60 % of their income. Tech With Soul is working to build social innovation that can be a catalyst to achieve both racial and gender equities. How we work has fundamentally changed. And it’s opened a wealth of new opportunities for BIPOC to explore.
